About

With so many external distractions in our lives it is easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected from our true selves. Taking time for yourself, making time for yourself to pause, heal, nurture and grow is vital. We can all make the effort toΒ change the way we think; surround ourselves with positivity and beauty; find our passions and most importantly, breathe.

“Your soul has been waiting for you to wake up to your own existence for years” – Elizabeth Gilbert.

  3. Your post resonated with me- it difficult not to think that taking time for ourselves is ‘selfish’ especially when there are so many demands on our time. One thing that has helped me is that I journal each morning and I set my intentions for that day. Two or three things that I really want to achieve. Completed they get crossed off-incomplete either they weren’t so important or they carry over to the next day.

    1. That is such a great idea! I have a goals book, where I outline a few goals to be completed each month. I’ve learnt to lower my expectations; forcing myself to achieve things takes all the fun out of it!
